By accessing or using the Lexora website and career intelligence platform (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
Lexora reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. Description of Service
Lexora provides a career intelligence platform that helps legal professionals assess their exposure to AI-driven change and receive practical guidance. The Service includes a free career exposure assessment and may include premium features available for a fee.
The Service is informational in nature. It does not constitute legal advice, career advice, financial advice, or any other form of professional advice. You should seek independent professional advice before making career or business decisions based on information provided by Lexora.
3. Account Terms
The free assessment does not require an account. If you create an account to access premium features:
- You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service without our express written permission.
- Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
- Misrepresent your identity or provide false information.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and materials available through the Service are the intellectual property of Lexora or its licensors. This includes but is not limited to text, graphics, logos, assessment frameworks, and software.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent. Your assessment results are provided for your personal use and may be shared at your discretion.
6. Payment Terms
The free tier of the Service is provided at no cost. Premium features, if available, are provided at the prices displayed at the time of purchase. All payments are processed through our third-party payment provider.
- All prices are displayed in the applicable currency.
- Payment is due at the time of purchase unless otherwise stated.
- Refunds may be available in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Lexora does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any assessment results or guidance provided through the Service.
The assessment is a directional self-check tool. It is not a substitute for professional legal, career, or financial advice. Lexora expressly disclaims any liability for decisions made based on information provided by the Service.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lexora and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or AUD $100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including under the Australian Consumer Law or consumer protection provisions in the EEA and UK.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lexora and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
For users in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
